Admissions Scholarships

Financial aid is offered to all on-campus programs by the university in the form of admission scholarships. They are conferred on a case-by-case basis depending on the student’s (applicant’s) academic standing, English level, and extracurricular activities.

During the application procedure, admission scholarships are evaluated and determined. They are provided for the student’s first semester and applied to tuition only. As far as undergraduate admission scholarships are concerned, they are typically offered to successful students from 30% to 70% of the cost of tuition, whereas eligible graduate students are offered admission scholarships worth 30% of tuition.

Continuing Merit-Based Scholarships

Among Woosong University Scholarships, continuing merit-based scholarships are also granted to students.

Since merit scholarships are available after a student’s first semester, they range from 30% to 100%. For the Woosong University Main Campus Graduate School Program, merit-based scholarships are offered in the range of 20% to 30%.

It should be noted that both international and Korean students who are enrolled in the university’s international programs are held to similar academic standards where all applicants have to meet the below-mentioned requirements to qualify for a merit-based scholarship.

  • They earn the minimum required credits over the previous semester.

For Bachelor’s degrees a minimum of 15 credit hours and for Master’s and PhD programs a minimum of 9 credit hours (For an MBA degree, 12 credit hours).

  • They receive no ‘F’ letter grades.

All merit-based scholarships are determined by the GPA of the students (previous semester GPA) or their CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of all semesters, whichever is higher. It is worth noting that all merit-based scholarships will be computed and then applied to student’s tuition fees automatically.
